![]() ![]() ![]() Rockstar Energy/Factory Husqvarna Racing’s Craig DeLong captured another top-five finish in the XC1 Open Pro class, with a sixth overall on the day. Jordan Ashburn (Magna1 Motorsports) came away with second overall on the day, and continues to hold the points lead. Photo: Ken Hill Russell would restart his bike after a crash on lap four, but he would be unable to make a charge to the front of the pack. Throughout the last hour of the race Duvall would remain in that podium position, taking the checkered flag for third overall. However, as the race wore on, he would find himself back in the fifth place position, only to fight his way back up into a podium finishing position. In front of his home-state crowd, Duvall would get a good start to the day, coming around in third on the opening lap. Making his return to the series after his round one injury was Rockstar Energy/Factory Husqvarna Racing’s Thad Duvall. Ashburn now holds a 32 point lead in the points standings with just three rounds remaining. As he continues to lead the way in the National Championship standings, Ashburn would put in a good ride as he battled back-and-forth for a podium position throughout the race. On the last lap of the race Baylor was not letting down, he continued to put his head down and push and would come through the finish line with an 18 second lead.Ĭoming through to earn second on the day was the Magna1 Motorsports/Husqvarna-backed rider of Jordan Ashburn. As the race continued on Baylor would make his way into third, and then on the fourth lap he would make the pass for the lead stick. ![]() Baylor would push throughout the opening lap, coming through fifth in his class. Steward Baylor (AmPro Yamaha) earned his first win of the season after being injury stricken earlier in the season. Photo: Ken HillĪmPro Yamaha’s Steward Baylor didn’t have the start he hoped for as he was in the back of the pack. Russell would lead the way for the first three laps of the race, but a crash on lap four would set him back into the fourth place position. And an example of someone who did just that was RC.As the green flag flew at the start of the race it was Coastal GASGAS Factory Racing’s Ricky Russell firing his motorcycle first and grabbing the $250 All Balls Racing XC1 Holeshot Award. Walking around with that extra 20lbs is not helping. Now IMO, of he was truly serious, he should make a better effort to drop the added weight. ![]() I don't question his ability at any level, but unfortunately in this sport it's about the only thing, especially when there is always someone else ready to do your job cheaper and possibly better.Īs for bikes, he's been on other brands such as KTM and never got the job done either.Īs for that quickfill, it was a plastic weld job, it wasn't fool proof. Anything less puts you and I at risk for losing my clients or jobs. My clients (or your boss) don't pay us to do 2nd or 3rd rate jobs, they pay us to do 1st rate stuff. He's not hired to get 2nds, or 3rds.he's hired to win, and ultimately hired to win championships, he hasn't got it done. Take whatever you want from what I typed. Again with kailub Russell still in the picture, it’s unlikely anyone else is going to win a title. And when I said he would be doing better still on KTM, I didn’t mean he’d be leading the points, but I’d bet he’d have a race win and some podiums. To be making a living off racing dirt bikes is “getting it done” and further than any of us will ever be.Īnd as for making a quick fill, they actually had made one but it malfunctioned, so not reliable. To even line up on the xc1 line and be competitive is “getting it done” To say that winning a title is the only way u are “getting it done” is complete ignorance. I would consider winning a gncc race “getting it done” These are some of the top off road pros in the world so getting a win is getting it done alone. My point is, it's not the bike (as in Sherco), and never been the bike.Īlso no, he had been on KTMs in the past and couldn't 'get it done', this year would have been no different. As have other pros who couldn't get a quickfill tank made. Get it done, as in "win a gncc title".Īs for a quickfill, he could have easily had a tank made with a quickfill out of aluminum.I know this because I've made one. ![]()
